Macular degeneration of the retina

An eye disease that causes loss of vision. Is largely age related but some younger people get it too. The centre of the retina deteriorates or in some cases, leaky blood vessels grow under the retina. People are given injections in the eyes, but have seen cases improve their vision naturally.
